The patented Water Winger is proudly manufactured in Salmon Arm, British Columbia, Canada. Our Wildfire Equipment team is committed to delivering premium, purpose-built solutions supported by knowledgeable customer service.
Our Story
The Water Winger was born from a moment of danger and frustration. As ash drifted in from a nearby wildfire, I found myself climbing a long ladder up to a steep, two-story roof to trying to connect hoses and secure garden sprinklers in place on the narrow, burning hot, metal peak. Alone on that roof, it became painfully clear that there has to be a better way.
From Problem to Innovation
What started as a personal challenge quickly became a collaborative effort. With input from wildfire-experienced homeowners, engineers, and firefighters, we developed and refined multiple prototypes until the design met the highest standards of safety and performance. Today, the Water Winger is used across Canada and the United States, helping protect more homes and properties each wildfire season.
Growing to Meet Demand
As demand continues to rise, we are expanding our production capacity and broadening our product offerings. Our online store now provides specialized hose, large-bore fittings, valves, splitters, and sprinkler options—making it easier for homeowners, fire crews, and agencies to prepare effectively for wildfires.
Acknowledgements
We are deeply grateful to Jake Jacobson and the Columbia Shuswap Regional District Structure Protection Crews for their guidance, feedback, and field testing throughout the development of the Water Winger. Hearing about their successes during the intense 2023 wildfire season—and the many homes protected—is incredibly rewarding.
I am sure you will find many situations where Water Wingers and our other innovative wildfire equipment will prove to be invaluable.
